Graffiti supporting war criminals for the mayor of Pljevlja are part of urban culture

SARAJevo, (Patria) - All graffiti in Pljevlja have not been painted over, nor will they be painted over - said the Mayor of Pljevlja Municipality Igor Golubović in an interview for Gradsku televiziju.

- Pljevlja is an urban city, and one of the urban characteristics of cities is the expression of will through graffiti, murals, and such things – said Golubović, reports CDM.

One of the graffiti in that city is dedicated to war criminal Ratko Mladić, convicted of genocide.

The mayor of Pljevlja Municipality tried to explain that there is no painting over because the "paint freezes".

- I don't know if you in Podgorica know, but we in Pljevlja have sub-zero temperatures during the winter. And when it's minus, the paint used to cover something freezes – said Golubović.

Unfortunately, it seems that new graffiti, as well as murals dedicated to convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić, have appeared in this city.
