Sarajevo City Council did not adopt the Budget Execution Report for the first quarter of 2025.

(Patria) - The Sarajevo City Council, at today's first session, adopted the Decision on the labor-legal status of the Deputy Chairman of the Sarajevo City Council.

City councilors adopted the Report on the implementation of the Program for the event marking April 6th - Sarajevo City Day in 2025, the Report on the implementation of the Decision on scholarships for high school students from the Sarajevo City Budget, according to the Competition for scholarships for high school students from the Sarajevo City Budget for the 2024/2025 school year.

They also adopted the Report on the implementation of the Decision for awarding high school students who achieved notable results in official competitions in teaching subjects/areas in the previous 2023/2024 school year, from the Sarajevo City Budget for 2024.

The Report on the implementation of the Decision on the conditions and procedure for accepting patronage of the City of Sarajevo in 2024, and the Report on the expenditure of current reserve funds from the Sarajevo City Budget for the period 01.01 - 30.06.2025 were also adopted.

The Report on the execution of the Sarajevo City Budget for the period 01.01.-31.03.2025 was not adopted at today's session.



Information on the Budget Framework Document (DOB) for the period 2026-2028, Information on the registration and mapping of closed and regulated sections of Category II watercourses with inflow structures in the city of Sarajevo and their maintenance, Information on the implementation of the Pedestrian Bridge Construction Project from Bihaćka Street, and Information on the implementation of councilors' questions and initiatives were acknowledged.

At the proposal of city councilor Jasmin Ademović, the consideration of the Report on the work and operations of JP "Sarajevo" d.o.o. Sarajevo for 2024, the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Decision on profit distribution of the Public Enterprise "Sarajevo" d.o.o. for 2024, Information on the work and operations of the Public Enterprise for management, protection and maintenance of Sarajevo City facilities and performing communal and other activities of public interest of the City of Sarajevo "Sarajevo" limited liability company for the period 01.01. 30.06.2025, the Report on the work and operations of JP "Olimpijski bazen Otoka" d.o.o. Sarajevo for 2024, and the Report on the work and operations of the Public Institution "City Museums" Sarajevo for 2024, was not included in the agenda of the session, and will be considered at the September session, so that all entities have enough time to consider them in their entirety.

At today's session, several councilors' questions and initiatives were submitted.

Thus, among others, the Chairman of the City Council, Alen Girt, in his capacity as a city councilor, submitted an initiative for the mayor to submit information to the City Council at the next session regarding the competencies of the City of Sarajevo in the field of communal activities, with the aim of preparing for the participation of the City of Sarajevo bodies in the process of adopting a new law on communal activities of the Sarajevo Canton, the procedure for which has been initiated.

The City Council supported the initiative of city councilor Vedad Deljković to declare the Association "Heart for Children Suffering from Cancer" an Association of Significance for the City of Sarajevo, and it became an initiative of the City Council.
