(Patria) - At today's 46th session of the Sarajevo City Council, Mirza Selimbegović (NIP) was proposed and then elected Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo with 16 councilor votes. Otherwise, after today's election, Selimbegović must leave his position as president of the Novi Grad Municipal Council and his position as councilor.
Muamer Mekić from SDP announced that SDP will propose a candidate for mayor and requested that a new session for the election of the mayor be held on Friday.
At this moment, no candidate to whom SDP has offered the position of mayor has yet agreed to accept the function until the election of a new mayor.
