Mostar City Council: First round of mayoral election annulled, Zalihić becomes candidate

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Slaven Bevanda, a councilor in the Mostar City Council, read out the conclusion on behalf of all councilor clubs: “The conclusion on the public vote for the election of the mayor of February 5 is annulled. In addition to the existing candidacies of Irma Baralija, Zlatko Guzina and Mario Kordić, additional candidacies are allowed. An Election Committee is appointed, consisting of one member from each councilor club and the secretary. Voting is enabled for the justifiably absent councilor Boška Ćavar, in such a way that the elected committee will go to Ćavar and allow her to vote secretly.”

The proposal was unanimously adopted.

At the session, Arman Zalihić from the SDP BiH was also proposed as a candidate for mayor.

A new break was given for the selection of the commission for the election of the mayor and the organization of secret voting.
