Cities in BiH illuminated in UNICEF colours

The Waterfall in Jajce, the Old Bridge in Mostar, the building of BiH institutions, the City Hall in Sarajevo and Banski Dvori in Banja Luka were illuminated in UNICEF blue. The projection of UNICEF colours on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of this organisation aimed to send a message to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina that UNICEF's support continues and that it will actively work on creating a better environment and systems to protect the rights of every child.

UNICEF gathered representatives from various sectors on which the improvement of health, social protection and inclusion of every child depends, through a two-day celebration. Overcoming discrimination and respecting diversity is the goal of every step taken to create a better future for children and young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

UNICEF Representative in BiH, Rownak Khan, expressed satisfaction that UNICEF has been operating in BiH for so many years and stated that UNICEF wants, together with all its partners, to focus on children and young people who have fewer privileges and opportunities to fulfil their dreams.
