Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka Supports Muriz Memić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka, after last night's concluded protest walk “Justice for Dženan” at the square near the Cathedral of Jesus' Heart, addressed the present citizens expressing support for Muriz Memić and his nearly three-year-long struggle for the truth about the death of his son Dženan Memić.

- Sarajevo is known for distinguishing good and bad, Sarajevo is known for rising above all events and once again becoming the center of the region. Tonight we share that pain with a man I want to especially greet and ask everyone to greet together, my dear friend Muriz Memić – said Skaka.

In a conversation with Skaka and his deputy Milan Trivić, Memić expressed gratitude for the support they provided him.

- Some mourn, some rejoice. I cannot forbid anyone to rejoice. Life goes on, and I will reach my goal and bring this fight for truth and justice to the end. Thank you to everyone who helps me on that path – said Memić for Patria.

Although the protest walk was supposed to be held from the memorial to the Cathedral, Memić decided that due to the concert held at 8 PM in front of the Cathedral, participants would continue to Sebilj. At the moment when the participants of the protest walk passed by the Cathedral, an image of Dženan Memić was displayed on a large screen, which was greeted with applause.

Several hundred citizens participated in the peaceful protest walk, demanding justice and the discovery of the killers of Dženan Memić.
