Mostar Mayor Ljubo Bešlić will soon travel to Slovenia for treatment, where he will undergo heart surgery, reports portal StarMo, according to the Patria News Agency.
The procedure will be performed at the main hospital in Maribor. The Mayor will therefore be out of his office and his duties for at least twenty days.
Bešlić has been experiencing heart problems for some time. He is not in life-threatening condition, but he previously had a stent (heart bypass) implanted at the Mostar hospital.
