Mayor Komšić laid flowers in the Alley of Dignitaries: Remembering Kemal Monteno

The Mayor of Sarajevo, Ivo Komšić, visited the grave of Kemal Monteno in the Alley of Dignitaries at the "Bare" city cemetery today, on the anniversary of his death, laid flowers, and paid tribute to this great artist, singer-songwriter, and recipient of the April 6th Award, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- A year has passed. We are truly saddened. Kemo did not spare himself, we all know that. He selflessly gave himself to his friends, and especially to music. Our Kemo is the pride of the city and the country - stated Mayor Komšić.

According to Kemo's granddaughter, Lora Monteno, her grandfather was always a positive person.

- Everything with him remains in my fondest memory, life with him was always cheerful. Even when he was sick, he joked, only that January 21st in my 20 years is the only ugly thing, since then we have all been fighting to be well, but we miss him every second - said Lora.

Along with the family and friends of the BH singer and singer-songwriter Kemal Monteno, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Mirvad Kurić, also laid flowers.
