Mayor Imamović and Members of the City Administration of Tuzla Visit EPBiH

The construction of the Divkovići 1 and 2 photovoltaic power plant with a total capacity of 56 MW, a project of JP Elektroprivreda BiH planned at the ash and slag disposal site of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant, was the main topic of discussion between the general director Admir Andelija, executive director Senad Salkić, director of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant Izet Džananović, and acting director of the Kreka Coal Mine Hasan Bleković with Jasmin Imamović, the Mayor of Tuzla, and members of the City Administration.

Expressing the support of the City of Tuzla for the realization of the project and agreeing on the necessary changes to the City's Regulatory Plan, a joint approach was agreed upon towards the Government of Tuzla Canton with the aim of resolving existing obstacles related to the Canton's Spatial Plan and the need for its amendment, which would provide the necessary prerequisites for the commencement of the construction of the new facility of JP Elektroprivreda BiH from renewable energy sources.

Special attention was also paid to resolving the mutual property-legal relations between the City of Tuzla and the Kreka Coal Mine in order to ensure the further balanced development of the City, which the Management of JP Elektroprivreda BiH fully supports, as well as the unimpeded exploitation of coal in the Kreka Mine.

During the meeting, the construction of the Central City Cemetery in the settlement of Drežnik was also discussed, at the site of the former ash and slag disposal site that JP Elektroprivreda BiH ceded to the City of Tuzla in 2015. Mayor Imamović and members of the City Administration also expressed support for the realization of the desulfurization project of Block 6 at the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant.
