Brčko Mayor Warns Citizens to Prepare for Snowstorm

The Mayor of Brčko District, Anto Domić, has warned citizens to prepare for the announced heavy snowfall, reports the Patria News Agency.   

- Given that, in accordance with weather forecasts, heavy snowfall is occurring, we are warning all legal and natural persons to immediately, in accordance with their jurisdictions and obligations, take the necessary preventive measures to protect against snowfall.

On this occasion, I appeal to the citizens of Brčko District BiH to, as much as possible, reduce their movement, especially by motor vehicles, so that the competent services can perform their duties and so that the risk of accidents and injuries is minimized.

All available personnel and equipment of the Department for Public Safety are on standby and ready for action, and citizens can report any extraordinary situations to the Observation and Information Centre at numbers 121 or 123 - it is stated in the press release from the Mayor's Cabinet in Brčko.
