Bihać Mayor Reduced His Salary: "It's a Shame to Have Such High Earnings Nowadays"

The newly elected mayor of Bihać, Šuhret Fazlić, reduced his salary from around 4,500 to around 2,500 KM.
This was confirmed today at a City Council session.

Mayor Fazlić said that he is ashamed to have a high salary at a time when a large number of citizens are living difficult lives.

- Since taking office as the mayor of Bihać, I have encountered numerous requests from my fellow citizens who lack funds for basic life necessities. Therefore, I decided to contribute to savings by my example – Fazlić said.

- I am personally ashamed to have such high earnings nowadays, and this is a message that we all together must change our attitude towards public funds and spend modestly and only as much as we have. That is the only way we can live better in our city – added Mayor Fazlić, reports Patria.
