Zenica citizens take to the streets with seven demands for authorities

(Patria) - Citizens of the City of Zenica took to the streets this Sunday as well to highlight the problems ordinary citizens face. The gathering was organized by the Citizens' Initiative "Zenica Rises."

Residents of Zenica joined this peaceful walk for various reasons. Corruption, lack of transparency, violence, rising prices, and inflation are just some of the issues troubling citizens. One of the key demands is fiscal reform, as citizens believe the current system further worsens the economic situation in the country.

Citizens have seven demands.

- We demand that the public be informed about anti-inflation measures to be taken. We expect urgent fiscal reforms as part of the package. Address the issue of accountability in Jablanica. Inform the public and explain where tax money intended for preventing natural disasters was spent. We demand that a clear plan for increasing pensions be presented to retirees. We demand a report on the operations of the company "Grijanje" Zenica and why the same problem occurs every year. We seek an explanation for the increase in other utility bills. We want measures to prevent peer violence - they stated at the protests.
