Citizens deserve the truth about Kelmendi, Čović, Ugljen, Čaušević...

While Croatia is dealing with the dark side of its past (arrests of former UDBA employees, trials of Ivo Sanader, Milan Bandić...), and Serbia is likewise arresting all those connected to crime, corruption, politically motivated murders, all in order to finally speed up on the European path, in Bosnia and Herzegovina nothing has been resolved, everything is left unfinished, open to interpretation this way or that.

Whichever way suits whom. And at a certain time, of course. As needed, primarily for achieving political goals.

Neighbouring countries have realised that without a clean slate, there is no lasting love.

Not here. And why would there be.

Everything is used for mutual score-settling, insinuations, and it seems that someone benefits from nothing ever being brought to light, so they can continue to evade responsibility and shift blame onto those others.

Unresolved political murders, alleged theft of donations during the war, the "Čaušević" case in which the former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina accused the highest officials of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) and the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), who are now either in business or in high political positions in the country, the "Kelmendi" case linked from the start to the name of the leader of the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB), Fahrudin Radončić, the murder of Ramiz Delalić Ćelo, the "Racket" affair whose main protagonist is Zlatko Lagumdžija, the marketing mafia in the "Gibraltar" affair...

Hamdija Lipovača, Goran Zubac, Šemso Mehmedović, Šefik Džaferović, Aleksandra Pandurević, Dragan Čović, Jerko Lijanović, Živko Budimir, Bakir Izetbegović, Sakib Mahmuljin, Milorad Dodik... and so on ad infinitum.

Day after day, they point fingers at each other.

And the citizens?

For twenty years, spectacular arrests have been staged, politicians and businessmen thrown into prison, from which they all emerge with clean hands, returning to positions from which they can do as they please... no one in Bosnia and Herzegovina believes anymore that the sun will finally shine as it should.

Unfortunately, citizens have lost faith even in the judiciary. The only bright spot. They no longer trust anyone. That prosecutor is corrupt, that one works for the SDA or HDZ... That judge is bought too.

To such an extent that the "common people" here in Bosnia and Herzegovina have had their minds washed, that they are no longer sure who is guilty, whether something written or spoken is really true.

Twenty years have passed since the war. And Bosnia and Herzegovina is still marking time.

Nothing has been clarified, nothing has been brought into the open. And every day new scandals, "truths" about murders, robberies emerge...

Will we ever learn the real truth about all these cases? The media, controlled by "ours", "yours" or "theirs", present different versions and their own versions of each of these complex cases, making it difficult to navigate this staged chaos and conclude with certainty from newspaper headlines what is a well-concocted lie cooked up in some intelligence kitchen, and what is actually true.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have to deal more with all unresolved cases, and as soon as possible, but by approaching them with utmost professionalism, thereby proving in practice that they are "nobody's".

If they do not do it as God commands, it will never be known who actually ordered and paid for, and who carried out the murders of Ugljen, Leutar, Caco, Ćelo, whether Čović is connected to the siphoning of money from the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whether Radončić is connected to Kelmendi, whether Izetbegović took money from donations...

Without answers to all these questions that burden Bosnian society, there is no moving forward.

It will no longer be a vicious circle, but Sidran's "Perfect Circle". And it obviously suits someone or some people perfectly, for putting into practice the famous message of war criminal Ratko Mladić: "confuse their minds".
