Citizens Already Received Increased Electricity Bills at the New Higher Tariff

(Patria) - JP Elektroprivreda BiH has already started issuing increased bills for electricity consumed.

One household with two members received a bill for the billing period from July 9 to August 7, and the electricity was calculated at two different tariffs, which is clearly shown on the bill.

What was consumed in July was calculated at the old price, and the part for six days in August at the new increased price. The total electricity bill for this household, including VAT, is 43.56 KM for 230 kWh consumed. You will pay more for more electricity consumed.

According to this calculation, the next bill, which will cover electricity consumption solely at the new price, will mean an increase of more than 2.5 KM.

However, the relevant Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry, Vedran Lakić (SDP), stated that electricity bills would increase by around 2.5 KM for 85 percent of households.

But, according to the bills that are already arriving based on the new calculation for just a few days in August, it indicates that the increase is not 10 percent, but up to 12 percent.

The real price increase will be seen on the next electricity bill.
