Citizens protested in front of the EU Delegation, criticized Sattler

SARAJevo, (Patria) - A protest by citizens was held in front of the EU Delegation building in Sarajevo, who, we remind you, previously held peaceful gatherings in front of the OHR and the US Embassy in BiH. Again, there was a lack of mass turnout. Academic and writer Abdulah Sidran supported those protesting, noting a difference in these protests compared to similar ones in that they do not insist on excessive situations.

- The people leading this have prepared texts and the goal is to deliver a written document to the relevant institution, stating the subject of the rebellion, in an obvious manner. In this case, I am particularly interested in one of the claims about the hypocritical behavior of the EU, both regarding admission and hidden intentions towards the state of BiH, said Sidran.

The demands from the protest, which we recall, also point to this.

- We demand concrete and unambiguous steps in the implementation of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights instead of trading among self-proclaimed national leaders, in which unfortunately Mr. Sattler also participates. We call on Mr. Sattler and other officials of the EU and international institutions for urgent protection of the Constitution of BiH, primarily in order to preserve peace. In that context, instead of aimless press releases, meetings in hotels and restaurants with certain party leaders, we demand the assistance of the European Commission in the work of the institutions of BiH, the Parliament of BiH, the Presidency of BiH..

- Support for transparent and open cooperation and the involvement of citizens and the non-governmental sector in the reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina instead of planned engineering in which, unfortunately, Mr. Sattler also participates;

- Support for the High Representative, Mr. Schmidt, in the application of all available mechanisms to stop the institutional coup d'état against Bosnia and Herzegovina;

Firm commitment in the institutions of the European Union to apply all available mechanisms for strengthening the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to stop the targeted undermining of their work by Milorad Dodik and the institutions over which he has effective control (Citizens of BiH want to join the family of EU countries, and the EU has an obligation to exclude those who constantly drag these citizens into crises and possible conflicts!)

Convening a special summit on Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo under the auspices of the European Union with the participation of countries in the region on the topic of preserving peace and security of citizens;

Writer Abdulah Sidran expressed his opinion, and it might be useful to stand with these people and state your opinion on camera. When it comes to the success of such activities, Sidran said that one should not be fooled, because the masses have always been forced into similar actions out of desperation. However, post-Dayton BiH and ethno-nationalist elites have created an atmosphere of fear, which, in Sidran's opinion, makes people feel like they have something to lose, reducing their civic activism.

As on the previous occasion, the protests were announced and reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport.
