Citizens help refugees in Vogošća, local authorities follow the case only through the media

VOGOŠĆA, (Patria) - About 30 refugees from countries such as Syria, Afghanistan and Algeria are currently staying in Nebočaj near Vogošća. They are being helped by the local population, who provide them with shelter and food, as well as local non-governmental organizations that have joined in helping the unfortunate people. 

Although the refugees have been staying in this place for about a month, the Vogošća Municipality knows about them only what has been published in the media. The Municipality unofficially confirmed to the Patria news agency that they have still not received any official request to get involved in helping the refugees located on their territory.

Some of the refugees, including families with children, confirmed to journalists that the local population is providing them with help, which is more than welcome in these difficult times. They are only trying to find peace for their families. They do not know what their next destination will be, nor whether they will be able to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
