CITIZENS DO NOT GIVE UP New protests in search for a solution for the 'Uborak' landfill

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Residents of Mostar are not giving up the fight to stop waste disposal at the landfill "Uborak" and to find a new location. 

Today, new protests were held in the city on the Neretva River, specifically citizens and the association "Jer nas se tiče" once again conveyed through a protest march from the landfill to the Elementary School in Vrapčići that they will not give up the fight. 

It was emphasized at the protest that the landfill, declared an ecological bomb back in 1989, should be relocated. A new location has not yet been found, and the goal of today's gathering was to exert pressure to make it happen. 

Citizens, we recall, once tried to stop the transport of garbage to "Uborak" by chaining themselves to vehicles. At that time, a special unit intervened. 

Since then, garbage transport to this landfill has been carried out with the assistance of the HNK Ministry of Interior.
