City of Sarajevo organized a series of appropriate events and manifestations on the occasion of May 9th

(Patria) - The City of Sarajevo will mark May 9th, the anniversary of the Vijećnica's reconstruction, the raising of the monument to the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo, Victory over Fascism Day, Europe Day, and Golden Lilies Day with an appropriate program and manifestations.

The marking of this date begins with paying tribute and laying flowers, according to the following schedule:

09:30h - "Kovači" Martyrs' Cemetery (Golden Lilies Day)
10:00h - "Eternal Flame" Memorial
10:15h - Memorial to the Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995.

In the afternoon, a round table titled "Sarajevo's European Heritage: A Historical Perspective" will be held in the Ceremonial Hall of Vijećnica starting at 18:00, organized by the City of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Philosophy - Department of History.

A concert by soloists and the choir of the National Theatre Sarajevo Opera and the Sarajevo Philharmonic will be held at the National Theatre Sarajevo at 19:30.

The final event is from 21:00h – 01:00h – "BiH in the Heart of Europe" on the square in front of the Armed Forces of BiH, organized by the City of Sarajevo, the EU in BiH in cooperation with Garden of Dreams and Eyelend.
