A few days ago, the British Guardian published an article about 10 European cities you can visit for a weekend. They selected Ghent in Belgium, Lyon in France, Porto in Portugal, Belgrade in Serbia..., reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
However, a reaction from readers soon followed, and they gave their suggestions, which the Guardian acknowledged and created a new list of ten destinations to visit.
On the list is also Sarajevo, which readers describe as breathtaking.
- A city that warmly welcomes you. You can visit most cultural and historical monuments on foot. In the evening, you have a wide choice of places to go out, from cafes to restaurants and other amenities – one comment reads.
According to the readers' choice, the list also includes Ljubljana in Slovenia, Bologna in Italy, Nice, Granada in Spain, Sofia, Basel in Switzerland, Thessaloniki in Greece...
