Grabar-Kitarović on new government: I will not allow delays and ultimatums

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović addressed the public after the State Electoral Commission published complete unofficial results of the early elections, Patria reports.

She congratulated all elected representatives to the Croatian Parliament.

- The responsibility for the development and stability of Croatia lies with all of you.

She congratulated Andrej Plenković and his party HDZ as the relative winner of these elections. In her opinion, the campaign was substantive, focused on programs and economic issues. 

She announced that she will convene consultations on forming the future government after receiving the final election results.

- I will not allow delays and ultimatums. Croatia has no time for new political maneuvering. I believe that I will soon receive proof of a majority in the Croatian Parliament - stated President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
