Border Police of BiH gets 99 new officers

At the Agency for Education and Professional Training in Mostar, the seventh generation of cadets of the first level of the Border Police of BiH was promoted today. Ninety-nine cadets attended basic police training and met the requirements for the rank of "police officer." During 12 months of professional education for participants of the basic police training at the first level, the cadets also completed the practical part of the course in organizational units of the Border Police of BiH and in entity Ministries of Interior, the Border Police of BiH announced, as reported by the Patria agency.

The cadets took a solemn oath in Mostar. Certificates were presented to them by the director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, Branko Vukoja. The seventh generation of cadets was trained in accordance with the new curriculum, which is harmonized with the curricula of all police agencies and according to European Union standards.

Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić congratulated the cadets and their families on completing the training. Among other things, he said that the Border Police of BiH is achieving increasingly significant results and, with professionally educated personnel and the commitment of the leadership, this police agency will be even better.

On this occasion, Director Vukoja said that it is a great honor to be a police officer of BiH and the Border Police of BiH. He particularly highlighted the fact that out of 99 cadets, as many as 98 had excellent results in the practical part of the training.

After successfully completing the training, the cadets are accepted for a 12-month probationary period. The promotion of the Border Police of BiH cadets in Mostar was attended by officials from the Ministry of Security of BiH, police and other agencies at the state level, the Armed Forces of BiH, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of BiH, the Intelligence-Security Agency, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and the Ministries of Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva and West Herzegovina cantons, representatives of ICITAP, the Federal Police of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as managers and chief inspectors of the Border Police of BiH. The best cadet was declared to be Miloš Đokić.
