Anniversary of the re-opening of the National Museum

Thursday, September 15 marks one year since the re-opening of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On this occasion, we invite you to attend a press conference which will be held in the premises of the Department of Natural Sciences, starting at 10:00 AM.

The acting director of the National Museum of BiH, Mr. Mirsad Sijarić, will address the attendees, presenting the museum's activities and achievements over the past year, as well as plans and expectations for the period ahead.

We remind you that the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was closed to the public for three years and was reopened in 2015. 

The museum was opened after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, which should contribute to resolving the issue of financing seven cultural institutions of state importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Memorandum was signed by 35 representatives from all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the municipal level, through cantonal and federal, to the state level - the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The initiator of the Memorandum was the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which aims to resolve the financing of cultural institutions for the period from 2016 to 2018 in this way.
