Annual leave comes first: Zubac at SIPA mocks BiH laws!

As annual holidays began in early August, writing about the case of Goran Zubac, the SIPA director accused of negligent work in service, ceased, reports the Patria news agency.

The hearing for Goran Zubac's plea on guilt has not yet been scheduled, most likely because a large number of judges are on annual leave, Meddžida Kreso, President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, recently stated for NAP. The judges have still not returned from annual leave, as the Court of BiH has yet to schedule the hearing.

After the indictment was confirmed several weeks ago, Zubac should have already had a hearing scheduled for his plea on guilt regarding charges of abuse of position and negligent work in service.

He is accused because he did not act in accordance with the law in the case of the terrorist attack on the Presidency of BiH on February 7, when it was set on fire. Two individuals were previously arrested and released for setting the building on fire, but an investigation for terrorism against them is still ongoing. On the other hand, the indictment against Zubac has been confirmed and is final, and the start of the trial is expected.

The Independent Board of the PSBiH, which by law should have already sent Zubac on cooling off, is also on annual leave, and the Council of Ministers is seeking a statement from the Independent Board. And so everything goes in circles while Zubac rubs his hands and mocks BiH laws.

As NAP learns, Zubac publicly states in the SIPA building that no one can do anything to him, and he has even filed an appeal against the decision denying him access to classified information.

All in all, it is more than certain that the October elections will pass before a solution for the Zubac case is found.
