GO SDP Mostar: SDA once again betrayed state interests in Mostar

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The City Committee of SDP Mostar believes that the SDA of Mostar, in its statement, once again insults the elementary intelligence of the city's citizens by presenting gross falsehoods and untruths.

From the SDA, following a tried-and-tested recipe, they instill fear in the citizens of Mostar with talk of the “majorization” of Bosniaks, while it is precisely they who twice elected HDZ's mayor Ljubo Bešlić, the SDP statement reads.

The public is reminded that the SDA first elected Bešlić in 2004 based on the Tihić-Čolak agreement, and that they did the same a second time in 2008, even though a “rotation” at the mayor's position should have occurred.

In both terms, the president of the City Council was from the SDA, and after the end of his term in the Council, he became an advisor to Bešlić, as a token of gratitude from the HDZ to their partners from the SDA.

This clearly confirms that the SDA and HDZ have jointly ruled Mostar for more than two decades, while the story of “majorization” used to scare citizens serves as an alibi to cover up decades of theft, the results of which are best seen in cases like the collector and the Uborak landfill.

“Bearing in mind the collapse to which they have brought the City of Mostar, we consider the claims from the SDA that someone wants to hastily bring a solution for the elections in Mostar shameful, knowing that with their partners from the HDZ they have been implementing a dictatorship in our city for eight years. We understand the nervousness in the SDA due to the turnout at the Bh. blok forum, but they must know that the SDP will always be ready to listen to the citizens of Mostar and offer them concrete solutions, because unlike those of the SDA, our solutions do not ‘frustrate citizens’, so we do not have to hide them from the public”, conclude from the SDP.
