SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The regular session of the SDA Main Board will be held today starting at 2:30 PM at the Holiday Hotel in Sarajevo. The SDA Main Board will also discuss the current political situation, which will be addressed by the party president, Bakir Izetbegović.
A press conference is scheduled for 5:00 PM. The press conference will be addressed by the president of the SDA Main Board, Čedomir Lukić, although it was initially announced by the SDA that it would be Izetbegović.
The Main Board session is being held ahead of the 7th SDA Congress on September 14, where the SDA president will be elected, and the only candidate is Izetbegović.
At the Congress, amendments to the Statute will also be adopted, and nine vice-presidents, members of the Main Board, and the Supervisory Board and Ethics Committee will be elected. 1,340 delegates will participate in the Congress.
According to the amendments to the Statute, there will be a larger number of women, youth, and members of other constituent peoples at the top of the party.
