Director General for Political Affairs of the British FCO Richard Moore visits BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Director General for Political Affairs of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Richard Moore arrives today for a visit to BiH ahead of the upcoming Western Balkans summit which will be held in London, announced by the British Embassy in BiH.

Moore comes to Sarajevo to discuss the Western Balkans summit, which will be held on July 9 and 10, with officials, as well as representatives of civil society, the judiciary, the business community and other sectors, BHRT reports.

The London summit will focus on increasing economic stability by improving the business environment, encouraging entrepreneurship, addressing youth unemployment and promoting regional interconnectivity.

The London summit will also address strengthening regional cooperation in the field of security, which will help fight common threats, including corruption, serious and organised crime, terrorism and violent extremism.

The theme of the summit is also encouraging better political cooperation, which will help the region resolve bilateral disputes and overcome issues of the legacy of conflicts from the 1990s.
