(Patria) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina this evening.
At the airport itself, around Sarajevo International Airport, strong security forces were deployed. Around 18:45 he left the airport area and headed towards the center of Sarajevo.
His hosts this evening will be the members of the Presidency of BiH. Members of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, Denis Bećirović and Željka Cvijanović arrived at a restaurant in the center of Sarajevo.
On Monday, he will meet with the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto, and the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt.
Stoltenberg will visit the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo and hold meetings with military leaders and representatives of the international community.
At a time when BiH is facing threats of secession and peaceful separation advocated by the authorities of the BiH entity RS, the visit of the top NATO official sends a clear message of support.
