Gavrankapetanović: I wish Rimac would say who threatened him and why he was so scared

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Health Nediljko Rimac, at yesterday's press conference in Sarajevo, among other things, answered the question of why he did not give consent for prof. dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović to be appointed director of KCUS.

- There is a problem because it is not in accordance with the law and procedures. I would be happiest if it didn't turn out the way it did, but I have to protect myself because I received threats and three criminal charges if I give consent for it to proceed.

I came from a peaceful environment, I have a year and a half left until retirement, and I truly want only to respect the law - said Rimac.

He added that the FBiH Government is also aware of everything, but that it bothers him that it is always said "that Minister Rimac is not allowing it".

- The Government is on the move, I don't know why it's not working. I signed and stand by it. The reasons for withholding previous consent were haste, disorganization, and lack of agreement.

If we had taken a moment to pause, everything could have been different, and we wouldn't have gone public. Now it's already a problem, things have gone very wrong, and now they need to be corrected.

I don't know how at this moment. Whether there is a legal way or not, but I have to protect myself and the law - Rimac stated.
