(Patria) - The public competition for the election and appointment of the general director of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo is expected to conclude on Monday. However, news about who will succeed Sebija Izetbegović is changing.
It is then, allegedly, according to vijesti.ba, that thoracic surgery specialist Dr. prim. sc. med. Alen Pilav will definitely be appointed as the general director. Pilav is also the current acting general director.
This is because it has been determined, allegedly, that Ismet Gavrankapetanović does not meet the requirements for the position of general director.
However, Gavrankapetanović denies this, and Raport publishes:
“The news is that I do not meet the requirements for the position of general director because I do not possess the Certificate of completed education in health management in accordance with the Rulebook on the conditions regarding the type of completed higher education in health field that persons applying for the director of a health institution must meet. Regarding this matter, I want to state that I possess a Diploma from completed postgraduate studies in Quality Management in Healthcare at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, which has far greater value and quality of education than the minimally prescribed Certificate of continuous education in health management,” said Gavrankapetanović.
In fact, a kind of war between SDP and NIP is underway. It was previously agreed that the position of KCUS director would go to NIP, and the decision was made that it would be Ismet Gavrankapetanović; however, the SDP structure led by Nermin Nikšić is not happy with this solution.
