Galić hid investigation against his advisor Hoffmann

A month ago, the Border Police (GP) submitted a criminal offense report to the BiH Prosecutor's Office against the entire GP Disciplinary Commission (Svevlad Hoffmann, president, members Fahrudin Ibrić and Nevenka Pejičić), accusing them of abuse of office, the Patria News Agency has learned.

The report was filed due to reasonable suspicion of criminal association in connection with the criminal offense of abuse of official position. GP Director Zoran Galić, as Patria unofficially learned, deliberately failed to inform the public about this case.

The report states that Hoffmann, who is also Galić's advisor, abused his official position for financial gain by splitting one case from the Disciplinary Commission at the end of the proceedings into multiple cases, thus charging multiple times the fee of 50 KM per case, depending on how many cases he split it into. For example, if there were three individuals in one case, Hoffmann would split it into three cases and charge 150 KM instead of 50 KM.

Hoffmann told Patria that it is true that a fabricated, tendentious, untrue, and insidious anonymous report was filed against them by a police officer who was himself undergoing proceedings by this Disciplinary Commission, but that he was unaware that the BiH Prosecutor's Office had ordered an investigation, although he said that would not surprise him either.

- The reserve Disciplinary Commission of the GP completed the first-instance proceedings against us. We are accused of abuse of official position, however, this reserve Disciplinary Commission completed the proceedings and acquitted us of the charges of abuse of official position. However, they fined us a minimal amount, stating that we made a procedural error when splitting the decisions, and that we should have issued a separate decision for the split. We will appeal this decision - Hoffmann told Patria.

He further explained that the whole story became relevant after he publicly spoke about the irregularities in the selection of candidates for the FUP director and after he filed criminal complaints regarding the proposal for Dragan Lukač to be the new FUP director.

- This is a complete revenge, and we are being accused and subjected to disciplinary proceedings for completing cases in a way that assigned individual cases to each police officer, which is true, but it is stipulated by the rules of procedure of the Disciplinary Commission. All decisions are final and enforceable, and now someone has decided to conduct a completely illegal review - Hoffmann added.
