FUP claims NBL faked support signatures for 2018 General Elections, CEC certified lists, and NBL no longer exists since 2021

(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration has submitted a Report on a Committed Criminal Offense to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton as part of activities intensively carried out in the previous period, under the orders of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, as well as the orders of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that during the application for participation of the political entity “Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List” in the general elections held in 2018 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with the application for certification of the political party for participation in the same elections, filled-out untrue forms of the Central Election Commission of BiH for collecting support signatures for the application of a political party or independent candidate were submitted, for the authorities: Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the President of Republika Srpska.

Namely, acting on the orders and under the supervision of the acting prosecutors, police officers of the Federal Police Administration have documented a large number of cases of citizens/voters for whom there is suspicion of forgery of their personal signatures, as well as misuse of their personal data, such as first and last names, personal identification numbers, and ID card numbers, all during the application for participation of the subject political entity in the general elections, for whose participation in the elections it was necessary to secure the legally determined number of citizen/voter signatures on the forms of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

A significant number of cases of forged personal signatures and misuse of personal data of individuals falsely listed as persons who collected support signatures for the subject political entity on the disputed forms have also been documented. During the documentation of this criminal offense and its perpetrators, which also has implications for the integrity of the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the disputed documentation from the Central Election Commission of BiH was temporarily seized under the order of the competent court in the past period, and more than 60 witnesses were interviewed and handwriting and signature samples were taken for further expert examination, while appropriate checks were also carried out for several hundred citizens from the areas of Sarajevo, Tuzla, East Sarajevo, Bijeljina, Doboj, Bratunac, as well as other places in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In carrying out the aforementioned activities, police officers of the Federal Police Administration have achieved exceptionally good cooperation with the locally competent police administrations, which provided all necessary assistance.

We remind you that the political entity Independent BiH List, headed by Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, submitted forms to the CEC which were certified, and the candidate lists were certified on August 6, 2018. At that time, the NBL lists were also certified for all levels of government. The candidate for the Vice-President of RS at the time was Jusuf Arifagić. NBL also had lists for the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, but did not win a mandate. In February 2021, an agreement was reached to merge two political entities, namely NBL and A-SDA, into the People's European Alliance. Ultimately, NBL as a political entity no longer exists.

You can view the certified NBL lists here from page 209 to 215.
