(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration (FUP) issued a statement regarding information published in the media that members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today conducted a search of the office of the acting director of FUP, Vahidin Munjić.
"Regarding media reports that searches were conducted in FUP, we inform the public that no searches were conducted, but that SIPA investigators, by order of the Court of BiH, seized certain documentation.
The Federal Police Administration continues to cooperate with all judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will not allow anyone to discredit it despite numerous continuous attempts," stated FUP in its statement, which it called a "denial".
Let us remind you, SIPA announced today that its police officers, in the area of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office and by order of the Court of BiH, realized the operational action "Dubrovnik".
"This operational action was realized due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of abuse of official position or authority, aiding the perpetrator after committing a criminal offense, and obstruction of justice, as prescribed by the Criminal Code of BiH, have been committed.
Five locations were searched, and during the search, items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized," SIPA announced.
