In the August floods that once again affected a large part of BiH, the Municipality of Gračanica and the business zone suffered great damage. Two farms were flooded in Piskavica and Sokol, where 2000 chickens died as a result. In addition, 1540 hens and 340 roosters of various body weights died, totaling 4 tons of animal waste.
Members of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, using two mobile incinerators (thermal treatment), destroyed the waste as part of the implementation of terrain sanitation measures and the prevention of infectious diseases from the carcasses of dead poultry, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
