FTV: If Tadić is re-elected, we would have Dragan Čović as chief prosecutor

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina will elect the chief state prosecutor on January 23. In the show „Mreža“ on Federal TV, it was reported that „all information suggests it is Gordana Tadić.“

„That is what Čović wants, and Dodik is helping him through Tegeltija. The latter, in the VSTV, because he is his man. And Dodik must repay Tadić, because she has not opened a single case against him. This way, Čović will get the Prosecutor's Office, and Dodik will have control over the VSTV.“

„Dodik also has SIPA, because he won over Perica Stanić, so he no longer fears that SIPA could arrest him. Čović is rushing to appoint his man as director of the FUP. That is an important position because there will be no investigations against Čović or his associates. Dodik has directed all his verbal artillery against the OSA. While Čović holds the Ministry of Justice, Dodik is approaching the Ministry of Security. The judicial-police system in the claws of the leaders,“ says journalist Merila Dizdarević.

„The Intelligence Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently perhaps the only barrier to strengthening Russian influence and completely taking over all state institutions. If Milorad Dodik, together with Dragan Čović, but also with individuals from Sarajevo who support their ideas, succeed in taking over the OSA, the judiciary, and the Armed Forces, I dare not even imagine what that will mean for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina,“ says journalist Dženana Karup.

FTV reminds that dozens of investigations against Dodik have failed, all during the tenure of prosecutor Tadić.

Lawyer and journalist Senad Pećanin believes that the collapse of BH judiciary began in 2010, when the judiciary launched serious investigations against three party leaders, which were stopped.

„Specifically, I am referring to the then Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, SDP leader Zlatko Lagumdžija, and HDZ leader Dragan Čović,“ said Pećanin, reminding that the investigations were halted even though there was evidence of serious crime.

„With the arrival of Milan Tegeltija at the head of the VSTV, a dark period for the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina truly began,“ believes journalist Dženana Karup, emphasizing that compliant judges work according to the wishes of both Tegeltija and certain individuals in the VSTV.

FTV also reminds of the family connection of prosecutor Tadić with HDZ Presidency member Mijo Krešić. „I am proud of that,“ said Krešić.

Journalist Karup emphasizes that this is a very serious, synchronized, and deliberate planned operation to bring the judiciary under control. „Unfortunately, I must admit that Čović and Dodik have succeeded in that. The final phase of that operation is the appointment of the chief prosecutor of Bosnia and Herzegovina.“

„If they were to choose Mrs. Tadić, we would have Dragan Čović as the chief prosecutor,“ said lawyer Duško Tomić.

BIRN journalist Denis Džidić reminds that out of the entire Prosecutor's Office of BiH, only six indictments for corruption have been filed, three of which for corruption within the institution itself.

„Now we have a prosecutor who aspires to continue that job, even though she does not want to interfere in her own work,“ says Pećanin.

„If prosecutor Tadić remains at the head of the State Prosecutor's Office, there will not be a single Bosniak in the leading positions of state and federal judicial institutions,“ concludes Merila Dizdarević.
