France concerned about NSRs laws: Attack on the constitutional order and unity of BiH

(Patria) - France is concerned about the legal measures adopted by the National Assembly of RS on April 19, and especially the Draft Election Law of RS, which represent an attack on the constitutional order and unity of BiH, the functionality of its central institutions, and are contrary to the country's European path.

"France, as a witness to the Dayton-Paris Agreement, will continue to firmly support the unity and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It calls on the RS authorities to end these initiatives.

France calls on the RS entity to also withdraw its draft law on foreign agents, which is contrary to preserving an environment conducive to civil society, media, and freedom of expression.

France calls on all Bosnian-Herzegovinian political forces to unite and return to the path of reforms necessary to achieve the accession perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.

The opening of accession negotiations decided by the EU Council last month is a clear signal in favor of the country's European future, for the benefit of all its citizens," reads the statement of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
