The streets of cities across beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina are on fire! The gold that young Bosnian basketball players won tonight in Kaunas will be celebrated until dawn. Celebrations are underway in Sarajevo, Zenica, Mostar, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Bihać..., report reporters from the Patria news agency (NAP).
The cadet national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won the gold medal tonight against Lithuania at the European Championship in Kaunas with a score of 85:83, and the fight for the medal lasted until the last second, but the Bosnian basketball players managed to fight off the aggressive Lithuanians.
Under the leadership of selector Josip Pandža, our team managed to win 12 out of 14 matches, with the most dramatic being last night's against Spain and this one against Lithuania.
However, with great courage, "madness", youth, effort and dedication, our basketball players managed to bring joy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and win the gold medal at the European Championship for the first time.
