PHOTO: Tourist seriously injured at Visoko pyramids, rescued by GSS

A foreign tourist was seriously injured today in Visoko after falling and breaking her leg at the top of the Pyramid of the Sun, reports the news agency Patria.

The terrain where the unfortunate woman was injured is difficult to traverse, so the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) was involved in the entire rescue operation, whose members brought the tourist to the ambulance.

Samra Džafić, a member of the Eko-Viking Visoko Association, which operates within the GSS station in Zavidovići, told the Patria agency that the police requested their assistance at 4:15 PM. In less than an hour, they were on the scene, after which they evacuated the unfortunate woman.

The terrain where the accident occurred is quite steep and slippery. The German tourist was not careful enough at one point, after which she fell and broke her leg in three places, writes NAP.
