After Amel Tuka, the best BH athlete, was greeted with applause and banners at Sarajevo Airport, we could see the same scenario in Zenica. Numerous citizens with flags and shouts welcomed him, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

The website european-athletics.org ranked Amel Tuka among the best athletes in July due to the results he achieved. Brilliant results in Madrid, Velenje, at the Diamond League meeting and the Athletics Meeting in Sweden made this possible.

- It is hard for me to speak because of stage fright. I show it better on my field than here. You pleasantly surprised me and I am delighted. I cannot even describe this feeling I have, thank you for your support from the beginning, I am proud of all of you. I am proud to be your fellow citizen and that you took the time to be here - said Tuka.

After Zenica, Amel goes to Kakanj where thousands of BH citizens will welcome him. The stage for the main event on the occasion of his arrival was set at the place where in 2007 the finish line of the cross-country race in which Tuka participated and achieved his first victory was located.
