A drunk driver drove off a bridge in Jelah near Tešanj today, the car was completely destroyed but fortunately no one was injured, reported the portal Jelahba.info, as carried by the news agency Patria.

One of the eyewitnesses said that he and his friends were swimming in the Usora River when the drunk driver broke through the protective railing on the bridge, which is about six meters high, and fell off the bridge, but luckily he only suffered a scratch on his face and elbow.

- The driver was extremely lucky, he got out of the car on his own, he suffered a scratch on his elbow and near his eye. He was intoxicated – said this eyewitness.

An ambulance and police arrived at the scene, after which the driver was taken to the hospital, and the police conducted an investigation. The driver will receive a misdemeanor citation, as reported by NAP.
