Photo story: When snow whitens Sarajevo streets

(Patria) - This morning in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the weather was mostly cloudy with scattered light snow, according to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) of BiH.



It was coldest this morning on Bjelašnica, where the temperature was minus 14 degrees Celsius, followed by Ivan Sedlo with minus six, Sokolac with minus five, Sanski Most and Sarajevo with minus four, Bugojno, Gradačac and Livno with minus three, Banja Luka, Bihać, Bijeljina, Prijedor, Srebrenica and Tuzla with minus two, Doboj and Zenica with minus one, Trebinje with zero, Široki Brijeg with three, Mostar with four, and Neum with five degrees.

“In the morning and forenoon, snow in the central and eastern parts of Bosnia and most of Herzegovina. Rain or sleet is expected in the far south. In the afternoon, clouds will gradually decrease across the country. Wind in most of Bosnia will be light to moderate from the north and northeast. In Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia, a strong bora wind,” stated FHMZ BiH.

The highest daily air temperature will be mostly between minus two and three degrees Celsius, up to eight degrees in the south.



On the second day of the weekend, the weather in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be mostly sunny. Wind in most of Bosnia will be light from the east and northeast. In Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia, a moderately strong bora wind. The lowest daily air temperature will be mostly between minus 12 and minus five degrees Celsius, from zero to four degrees in the south, and the highest daily air temperature will be mostly between minus two and three degrees Celsius, from five to eight degrees in the south.

On Monday, the weather in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be mostly sunny. Clouds from the west during the night towards Tuesday. Wind will be light and variable. The lowest daily air temperature will be mostly between minus 12 and minus five degrees Celsius, up to two degrees in the south, and the highest daily air temperature will be mostly between zero and five degrees Celsius, up to nine degrees in the south.
