Forto prepared a Report on the Work of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton for the Mandate Year for the representatives

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Ahead of the session of the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton on January 29, where a vote of no confidence in the Government of the Sarajevo Canton is on the agenda, a document summarizing the Government's work over the mandate year was published. This document, provided to the representatives, lists numerous initiated projects, initiatives, legal solutions, anti-corruption activities, and other activities of the ministries.

The Government of the Sarajevo Canton reminds that a decision was made and a revision of diplomas of employees in the public sector of the Sarajevo Canton was initiated, which should be completed in the second quarter of 2020, along with numerous other laws and regulations.

In the introductory part signed by Edin Forto, it is stated that the Government of the Sarajevo Canton worked as a team in solving problems.

„We truly worked as a team, and it must be said, finally established synergy and coordination among ministers, ministries, and offices to restore trust not only in the Canton but also in the meaning of political action. Those who decide to work in the civil service must know that this means being at the service of citizens, not politics and personal interests. This Government was composed of diversity, but regardless of everything, we knew, could, and wanted to make moral decisions for the good and development of our society.

If at today's session, due to political reasons and not because of the factual situation presented through this document, a vote of no confidence in this Government is nevertheless passed, we greet you with weak but still hope that the new convocation will continue working on the quality projects we have started and that it will be a responsible service to its citizens. Finally, on behalf of the entire Government of the Sarajevo Canton, I want to emphasize that in just one year, we have collectively made such structural changes that we have, if nothing else, permanently changed the framework of governance and political behavior. The space for corruption, nepotism, favoritism, arbitrary solutions, distance of public administration and companies from citizens, and general fiscal, economic, and moral irresponsibility has been significantly narrowed", writes in the Report signed by the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto.
