Forto: Sarajevo Canton Government offered a salary increase of 4.75 percent, I hope the unions will be understanding

(Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton Government concluded today the final round of negotiations with representatives of unions of employees who receive salaries from the Canton Sarajevo Budget. There are about 14,000 such employees. 

As Prime Minister Edin Forto said after the meeting, the Sarajevo Canton Government offered a salary increase of 4.75 percent.

“Essentially, from the budget for 2022, this means an additional 20 million marks for the salaries of workers who receive salaries from the budget. The unions are, generally, dissatisfied with this offer, and the conclusion is that they will inform us of their decision in the coming days, as two members of the coordination have not yet declared themselves.

This is an offer that we are ready to incorporate into the budget proposal for 2022. I hope that the unions will have understanding that this increase may not be large, but at this moment it is the most responsible thing we could offer,” stated Prime Minister Forto.
