Forto: Adopt the budget of BiH institutions, we must have 20 laws at every session

(Patria) - The President of Our Party and Minister of Transport and Communications Edin Forto, together with MP Sabina Ćudić and Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Refugees Duško Jurišić, held a press conference at which they emphasized that the European path of BiH should not be blocked regardless of the High Representative's imposed decision on amendments to the Election Law of BiH.

"We will insist on continuing the European path without political blockades," said Sabina Ćudić, a state parliamentarian.

She commented on the calls from HDZ and SNSD, which call for an end to international interventions, and then, as she says, seek help from Zagreb or Belgrade.

"The Troika does not go for consultations in Belgrade, nor in Zagreb, nor anywhere else," she says.

She also stated that the Our Party Club calls on the international community to jointly seek a solution and not to seek their interests at the expense of BiH.

"Who sincerely wants the European path," Forto asked, then said that a rhythm must be established to adopt 20 laws at every session.

He said that the first step is the adoption of the BiH budget.

"Let's agree on who is moving the country forward and who is holding it back. I have persistently repeated that European negotiations are not an agreement on one law. We must establish a rhythm in which we will have 20 laws at one session and so for years. After opening negotiations, citizens gave us a signal that they want what is happening. The entire coalition receives congratulations for opening the EU path. And what are we doing now? Are we going to embark on the EU path? The first step is the adoption of the BiH Budget so that, in accordance with the growth plan that we must adopt, which is linked to the reform package. We have been promised 150 million KM in grants in the budget. Are we going to give up on that 150 million?" said Forto.

He also spoke about the Law on the Court of BiH, stating that at the last meetings in Brussels, shortly before the historic decision, they were clearly told that they must adopt the law.

"They do not go into the details of the law. It must respect the independence of the Appellate Court and prescribe the court's jurisdiction in accordance with EU standards. Let's sit down and adopt that law," said Forto.

At today's session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, not a single law was adopted, nor was any legal solution sent from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
