Forto welcomes agreement on RTV fee collection, but BHRT and RTVFBiH continue negotiations

(Patria) - BHRT and RTV FTV have reached an agreement on the continuation of RTV fee collection, and a new agreement has been signed with Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine which will come into effect on March 1st.

The Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Edin Forto, announced on social media welcoming the agreement.

"I am pleased that reason has prevailed between BHRT and FTV and that after today's signing of the agreement, Elektroprivreda BiH will continue to collect subscriptions for the public service," he stated.

He further wrote that the Council of Ministers supported the public service, and that they ensured the collection of subscriptions within FBiH.

"Now we will work on a new law that will ensure a long-term sustainable public service throughout the country, just as is the practice in the rest of Europe," Forto wrote.

BHRT and RTVFBiH have a deadline of 60 days to agree on their mutual relations and the method of money distribution.
