Forto on the Zornić case: I have zero tolerance for war crimes

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After media reported that Enver Zornić, the newly appointed director of the Cantonal Public Utility Company “Toplane”, was convicted for war crimes, the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto, said that the media reports are currently being verified.

“I consider this an extremely important issue, and tomorrow it will be urgently delegated to a government session. If the allegations prove to be true, Zornić will be dismissed. Given the legal implications, allow 24 hours so we can obtain precise information and adopt a clear and unambiguous stance. Personally, I have zero tolerance for war crimes,” said Prime Minister Forto.

Today, the SDP BiH, which proposed Zornić for the position of director of Toplane, also reacted. They stated that they are shocked by the verdict that appeared in the media, and that Zornić did not inform them of any legal proceedings against him. 

SDP Vice President Vojin Mijatović issued a public statement calling for Zornić's dismissal and expulsion from SDP BiH. He stated that this is a serious failure of the SDP BiH Committee. 

"In my personal name and on behalf of the SDP, I want to apologize to the public for everything that the decision has caused," Mijatović stated.
