Forto on the work of the KS Government: We made mistakes and will make them, but we will correct them

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - KS Prime Minister Edin Forto and ministers in the KS Government held a press conference today summarizing their year in office. Forto spoke about numerous projects they have completed, some started, and some only announced. The focus was placed on the fight against corruption. He stated that his government is a pioneer in the fight against corruption and cited the example of GRAS and the engagement of the Office for Combating Corruption, which subsequently filed 50 criminal charges.

When asked by Patria journalists if this Government had made any mistakes.

“This government, of course, makes mistakes, and we are not afraid of mistakes. The only difference between us and most other governments is that when we make a mistake, we admit it and try to correct it. The vaccination, which was non-transparent, is perhaps the biggest mistake we made, and I take responsibility for it. And if I could turn back time, I would certainly have done it differently, in front of cameras and at Zetra. But it turned out as it turned out, and I regret it. Sometimes an appointment slips through, where someone doesn't meet the requirements to be appointed, so we dismiss them. There are so many processes that we inherited. We are not afraid to make mistakes; we want to work. When you are appointed, and when the spotlight is on you, sometimes in that tension, certain individuals stop themselves from making a mistake. We don't do that, but when we make a mistake, we will admit it and correct it,” said Forto.

He stated that it is better not to list the mistakes of other governments and their corrupt decisions.

“We have some mistakes that we have made, we will continue to make them, and you follow, point them out, and we will correct them,” said Forto.
