Foundation "Truth for Goražde" wrote to Kajganić: Stop the farce and illegal work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - The "Truth for Goražde" Foundation of Bosansko-Podrinjski Canton (BPK) called on the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Milanko Kajganić, to immediately stop the farce and illegal work of that judicial institution.

This appeal from the Foundation followed the BiH Court's decision to reject and halt the indictment against 13 defenders of Goražde, whom prosecutors suspected of alleged crimes.

"We ask you not to file an appeal against this decision of the BiH Court and we believe that filing an appeal against the decision of the BiH Court would be another attempt to abuse the position and authority of the Chief Prosecutor and an attempt to create legal chaos in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We remind both you, Mr. Kajganić, and the public, that we have sent letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Chief Prosecutor of The Hague, informing them that since the Dayton Peace Agreement in BiH, not a single indictment has been filed against those responsible for the siege and committed crimes in the UN protected zones, Sarajevo, Srebrenica, Goražde, Bihać, Žepa, and Tuzla.

At the same time, the BiH Prosecutor's Office indiscriminately and in large numbers prosecutes those who contributed to the protection and defense of UN protected enclaves.

In Sarajevo and Goražde alone, nearly 2,000 children were killed, and to this day, no one has been held accountable.

The latest case of an attempted indictment of 13 defenders of Goražde has shown the full extent of the catastrophic behavior of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

After the BiH Court returned the said indictment for revision and after they rejected confirming the 'revised' indictment with their decision, the BiH Prosecutor's Office continues the illegal prosecution, abuses its position, and wants to indict the 13 defenders at all costs," stated the Foundation.

The open letter to Kajganić is signed by the "Truth for Goražde" Foundation, the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa" Movement Association, the Association of Murdered Children of Sarajevo, the Union of Associations of Camp Detainees of Una-Sana Canton "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić", the Association of Civilian Victims of War of BPK, and the Association of Camp Detainees of BPK Goražde.
