Hastor Foundation awards 200 scholarships to students

A group of 200 students will sign scholarship agreements with the Hastor Foundation for the academic year 2014/2015, it was announced by the Foundation, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Although it was previously announced that the Foundation would award scholarships to 162 students this year, and that the total number of scholarships awarded for this school year would be 1,211, the "Scholarship Award Committee of the Hastor Foundation" decided to award an additional 38 scholarships to students from flood-affected areas.

Thus, in the 2014/2015 school year, the Foundation will award a total of 1,249 scholarships to children and youth from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Scholarship agreements have already been signed with 531 primary school students and 518 high school students.

The Hastor Foundation was established in 2006 and is the most significant foundation of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. It is primarily dedicated to children and youth whose economic situation hinders their successful access to education, and through its work, it supports and encourages them in their efforts to become self-aware leaders in their communities.

The group of 200 students who received scholarships this year will sign agreements with the Foundation on Saturday, November 15, in the ASA Group building, NAP reports.
