Fočo: Knowledge must be valued more in BiH, and politics reduced to necessary frameworks

Salih Fočo, a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, warns that Bosnia and Herzegovina urgently needs to create four political blocs in order to profile the country's political space, because it is clearly not profiled at the moment, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

It is true, he says, that right-wing or even nationalist parties have developed and that there is no more room for others, but the left-wing space is completely uncovered and new forces need to be developed there.

- The third bloc would be a centre bloc, and the fourth bloc should be a civic bloc – explains this expert.

However, above all, Professor Fočo believes, citizens must reduce the powers of political parties, which have taken a monopoly over the entire life in the country.

- Politics manages public companies, fund management, employment, practically politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina manages people's lives.

Fočo emphasizes that politics must be reduced to such frameworks that people will rather start developing a business than a political party. People should, he believes, rather express their abilities where they are creative, and not through politics. People must start valuing their profession, initiative, knowledge, and reduce politics to the frameworks that are necessary and democratic, writes NAP.
