SDP organisation in Foča aims for entry into the Municipal Assembly

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The President of the Cantonal Board of the SDP BIH Sarajevo, Damir Mašić, visited today the Municipal Board of the SDP in Foča and discussed with the leadership and members the state of the organisation, future goals and activities, as well as preparations for the October local elections.

Mašić emphasised in Foča that the organisational strengthening of the Social Democratic Party of BiH is one of the most important tasks in the coming period, in order to prepare as well as possible for the local elections, reports Radio Foča. 

He believes that the recently formed Municipal organisation of this party in Foča has good chances for progress and growth.

“We want to spread our programmatic ideas and goals to the entire territory of BiH, and we are especially pleased when we establish new organisations. One such is right here in Foča, and we are more than grateful to these people who have dared to engage politically in a difficult period, in a way that they start changing things in their communities. Every community has room for improvement, so does Foča, and I am convinced that the political activity of the SDP can only benefit all citizens of Foča,” said Mašić.

On behalf of the Cantonal Board of the SDP BiH Sarajevo, Mašić symbolically presented the Municipal organisation in Foča with a new computer, wishing them success and good results in the coming period, as well as serious political activity after the local elections.

“We have a serious team of people who will dedicate themselves to work, and we seriously count on the presence of the SDP through the Municipal Assembly of Foča after the local elections, and thereafter on participation in government,” emphasised Mašić.

The President of the Municipal organisation of the SDP BiH in Foča, Avdo Mulahasanović, believes that with persistent, sincere and honest work of all members, a good election result and growth in Foča can be achieved, followed by entry into the legislative and executive authorities.

“Day by day, the number of people is growing, there are interested individuals, and I sincerely hope that with fair work we will reach that goal. We are starting and working, because October is not that far away, and by then we can and must do a lot,” said Mulahasanović.

The Municipal organisation of the SDP BiH in Foča was re-established at the end of November last year. 

Although renewed on the political scene of Foča, they are confident that they will attract many new people, primarily young people, but also those who have not been politically active so far.
